The weather man calls it the most Reno snow in 15 years, and we believe it. After a break for a few days, it came back for a few more days. When it stopped, there were over six feet on the ground in some places around Reno.

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow remains in effect until 10 am PST Sunday. * Heavy snow will affect the Reno... Carson City... and Minden areas through this evening. Snow will taper off late tonight. * Total snow accumulations of 5 to 10 inches in the valleys... with 8 to 16 inches above 5000 feet by late Sunday morning. * Heavy snow late this afternoon and this evening will create dangerous travel conditions. Visibility will be reduced to half a mile or less. Precautionary/preparedness actions... Conditions can deteriorate rapidly during winter storms... slow down and allow extra time when traveling. Carry tire chains... food... water... blankets and a flashlight in your car in case of an emergency.
