Pinewood Derby

We had another great time at the pinewood derby this year. Jared worked very hard painting, gluing, doing the antennas, and designing.

And here is the finished product...

They made twinkie cars. LOL

You can't see him, but Jared is carrying the Scout Flag

Fun with hair

As long as I can remember, I have loved playing with hair. I am so lucky to have a little girl that loves to play with my hair and loves to have her hair played with. Here are a few hairstyles from the past couple of weeks.

It's hard to tell in this picture, but it's a three-leafed clover.

This one is 5 braids

This one is 3

This one she wore a few weeks after Valentines. For Valentine's Day she had heart ribbons on the middle.

Thanks for looking!

Choir

My favorite concert of the year is the McQueen Choral Festival. I absolutely love it! There is a "mass elementary choir" with Verdi, Westergarde and Melton. There is Winnemucca Elementary, Billinghurst Middle School and of course the McQueen High School choirs. They are AMAZING!!!!

This was the last song. All the participating students sang. Michael's teacher was the organizer and conductor.

They did "Standing on the corner" with the McQueen boys.It was SO cute!!!!

Some of the cast from "Guys and Dolls" McQueen Musical. (They were the hosts of the concert)

Goof-ball

Oh my goodness! I cannot even describe how good this was! It was one of the songs from Happy Feet and two of the students created it from sound (choreography and music) It was SOOOO good!

Jared had his choir at Winnemucca the night before as well as his fourth grade program. They are led by one of the most amazing music teachers!

Great job boys!!!!!

Off to the rink...

Every once in awhile we go to the skating rink. Whether it's for a school function or to meet friends there. Friday nights I try to avoid because it is so crowded, but of course the kids have a blast!
