Activity Days

This last Sunday I was called to be Assistant Activity Days leader. I also had a work party (at work) that was running perilously close to the time we were going to be leaving with the girls to go caroling. Via text I was talking to my mom so she could take Cai Lynn and I would meet them there. I raced out of the party the second I could., and raced over to the house where the girls were preparing to head out for caroling. I literally drove up as the cars were pulling out of the driveway... JUST IN TIME! I jumped into the car Cai Lynn was in, and we headed out.

The girls were so cute with their bells, hats and we even had a couple of violinists. They had rehearsed the weeks prior and were ready to go.

I snapped a picture at the last house we were singing at. They were so cute!

Back to the house to finish up the Graham crackers mangers.

Silly girls

Followed by the wrapping of the candles they had made for their mom's last week.

Then a few of the girls played the piano for us.

And last a story

What a great beginning to my calling! I am so excited to be a part o this group!

Autumn Photo Shoot

Well, while everyone was out shopping, I took the kids and the dogs over to a local park and took a TON of pictures! Here are some (a lot) of my favorites.

I am thankful for my tripod.

Ruby and Duncan

In the middle of taking pictures, we were visited by a local coyote. He was Leary of Duncan but I'm pretty sure he wanted to eat Ruby. He watched us for quite awhile. (By the way, this picture is not zoomed in.)

I love Ruby's little paw on Michael's lap. (She did that)

They are growing up so fast!

Me

And.... another visitor. This one is smaller and darker. ACK!

A little geese chasing and chasing each other.

And down to the pond.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We have so much to be thankful for this year. Our freedom to live and worship in this amazing country, our health, a new job for me which gives me better hours, and a little bump in pay, wonderful family and friends, my darling animals, the list goes on and on. As usual, we celebrated at my mom's house.

I got up in the morning and got the turkey in the oven for amazing turkey sandwiches for lunch, Went to go help my mom sent up the table, etc, made the salad, rolls, green bean casserole, and headed over with that stuff, pies, and a couple of appetizers. We prepared to have an AMAZING dinner my mom had prepared, and great family.

Watching Charlie Brown Thanksgiving before dinner.

After the boys built their castle, it was her turn.

Andy was supposed to be mixing the mashed potatoes.

Caught you!

Ready to begin the feast!

After the wonderful meal was eaten and cleaned up, we all sat down ready to begin the Christmas season by watching our usual traditional movie, "Christmas Vacation"

The girls were with their dad, but they were able to come at the end.

Again, we have so much to be thankful for!
