Washoe Lake

Today a good friend of mine was watching three little boys for the weekend and we decided to take all the kids out for a hike in the Washoe Valley. (About a 1/2 hr from here.) After about a mile the littlest of the crew decided he wasn't having any of it. So we went back a couple of miles and went to Washoe Lake where we looked for arrow heads and fun rocks. We had such a nice yet tiring day.

I love the snow still on the mountains.

Back at Grandma's

My wonderful mom and Ashley ran to the store, grabbed all the sandwich stuff and made some SUPER yummy sandwiches!

What a great spread!

"MMMMMMMMMMMM"

kidding! But they sure are sleepy! That's what happens when everyone gets together!

Uncle Mark gets married!

Our wonderful Uncle Mark got married to our new Aunt Melinda this weekend. They were married in the Oakland temple. What a wonderful occasion! It was a beautiful ceremony and it was absolutely wonderful to see all the family.

Everybody comes out in style. :-)

4 of the 6 siblings.

Ammon and Grandma. It was just easier to put her in a wheel chair. We did a LOT of walking that day!

My mom, Sarah and Cai Lynn. It was very windy.

The cute and happy couple.

This is the first time in 13 years all 6 siblings have been together!

They are too cute!

A new friend

A couple of years ago we rescued and adopted a little hedgehog. We knew she was neglected, but we didn't realize she was ill. Unfortunately she passed away of Cancer a few months after we got her. After more than a year I finally felt able to get another little hedgehog. The kids talk about how much they miss her and keep her in their prayers daily. Our new little friend still doesn't have a name. We have tossed a few around even "Safara" which was our other one's name. (It means "Fire" in one of the African dialects.) Still not sure but we will soon come up with one.

These were taken last night after we returned home from my mom's.

Happy Easter!

We began the day opening our Easter baskets. More Webkins and of course candy! The Easter bunny also brought us some wonderful books. (Cai Lynn and I also got new needed swim suits. :-) )

In the afternoon, off we went to my mom's ("Noni") house for an Easter egg hunt (both inside and outside... it was cooold) and a delicious dinner.
