There are going to be a couple of Scottish Game posts. I took a TON of pictures, and we were there for two days as usual.
We go every year without fail. It is a great time to be with family, and we absolutely love all of the events. It's an amazing time. This year was a little tough. It was the very first year my grandma wasn't there. She also looked forward to it every year. Last year I sat for hours with her sitting at the bag-piping competition. She was definitely there in spirit though.
This year we were able to have Donald, Heather and Xara join us. They loved it and even came the next day too.
Ok, well, the pictures are backwards, beginning with the end of the day. :-/ Sorry. LOL

Back to School
Today Michael started the 8th grade! Holy Cow where did the time go? it is so hard to believe that he is now 13 and the top of the totem pole at school.
He of COURSE has his own taste in clothes. ;-)
I snapped a few pictures before the dogs and I walked him down to the bus stop.
Have a great first day Michael!!!!!
The other two are in yr round school so they started a few weeks ago. This is one of the pictures from a previous post. (5th and 3rd grade)

Ice Blocking
Who needs snow to go sledding?
We sure don't! Just grab a block of ice from your local grocer, a towel, and a nice hill.
The boys love to do this at scouts and young men's. The church is literally across the street from the High School and they have the perfect sledding spot.
Michael already slid off his, but Jared goes down...
Michael and Duncan are friends again after Duncan knocked him off several times on his way down. :-P
Cai Lynn is getting the hang of it now...
She spent more than her share of time chasing her ice block.
Duncan is trying to help.
There's her towel...
...and there's her ice...
Weeeee....
I don't like to go too fast! LOL (These are NOT flattering pictures. ;-) )
It's a bird, It's a plane...
Concentrating...
Time to "break the ice"
It's getting dark now. Time to go home...
A fun and cheap way to spend a Friday night after work/school.
