Do you know the way to San Jose....

La La La La La La La La La....

So after an amazing Easter morning, we headed down to spend the night with Donald, Heather and Xara. They were gracious enough to put us up for the night, before we headed down to Monterey in the morning. We brought a little something for Donald and Xara. (Heather and I had been planning it for WEEKS!) She had been busy scrambling and getting everything done, organized and ready for her arrival.

Isn't she cute? Xara wasn't too sure about her, but Donald was SO excited! All of Heather's hard work to surprise him paid off! He didn't suspect a thing! I had him help unload my car and there she was. (P.S. Xara JUST woke up from her nap when we arrived, so she looks a little sleepy.)

The kids played with Donald's helicopter, and Cai Lynn played with puzzles. :-)

Then of course off to play with Donald's weights.....

Easter Morning

So this is a bit late as I have MANY pictures to post, but this new blogger is going to take me a bit to get completely used to it. So please bear with me.

Easter Morning was a big one. We opened up our baskets, packed our car for our Monterey trip, and headed off to church. After church we headed over to my work to help with an AMAZING Easter brunch.

I just can't believe how big they're getting!

Helping set up the glasses

I can't show the residents, but everyone looked wonderful! What an amazing way to spend the Easter morning. Family, worship, friends, and more family.

Egg Hunt at My Mom's

Since we were going to be heading out if town Easter afternoon, we had Easter a couple of days early. I was at work, when I got there the kids were ready to do their egg hunt. My mom had already hidden the eggs (with Michael's help filling them) so the race was on!

The eggs were hidden in three different spots... We started with the outside... 16 to be found.

I love this picture.

They had to wait until first Emily (almost 4) went first and then the other two girls went... Then it was there turn. They didn't NEED a head start. :-)

Noni giving Michael some tips.

Their loot

Into the house we go. These eggs were filled with money!

Onto the third round... These ones were filled with TONS of candy!

After that, we had a wonderful dinner!!!!

St. Baldrick's Day!

For the third year now Jared has raised money for Pediatric Cancer by doing St. Baldricks Day. (Michael did it the other two years... didn't do it this year, and now is excited again to do it next year.) Jared went door to door and collected money as well as getting it from other friends and family. He raised over $400.00 all by himself. 100% of the proceeds goes to the cause. All of the other participants are volunteers. (Shavers, etc)

He was so excited and kept counting down the days until it arrived.

I left work, came and grabbed the kids, and off we headed to the big event.

He got all signed in and received his badge.

Pausing a moment to take a picture with the Reno Aces Mascot...

Watching the other Shavees.....

Watching the little Irish dancers... after all, it WAS St Patrick's Day.

It's Jared's turn now....

I found it fitting that his "Shaver" was another red-head.

Great job Jared!!!!!!!

So proud!
