A Camping we will go...

A few weeks ago, Richard and I were trying to find a good time for him to have the kids. After looking at calendars, etc. I asked about 4th of July week. I quickly contacted his brother and sister-in-law who now live in the area to see what their plans were. (I figured since I had four days off, I wanted to DO something! And I could just bring the kids back with me.) They were going camping at Shasta and invited me along. We had a GREAT time!!!!!

Richard brought the kids over to the campgrounds. Cai Lynn had a quick swim in the pool before we headed fr home. Before leaving, we had to get some pictures. :-)

The Super Moon

We had the privilege of seeing The Super Moon. It was BEAUTIFUL! I love that Michael got a telescope for Christmas because of nights like this!

We were out there for an hour just trying to get pictures without clouds over it, but it also looks cool like this.

 

Now he's shining the reflection onto the paper.

Happy 12th birthday Jared!!!!!!

It's very hard to believe that my spunky little red-head is actually 12! He had been planning a camp-out ON his birthday with his scouting troop. Cupcakes  were made and brought to share with others. The night before his birthday we got together and had our family party.

 

 

Jared special ordered "Noni's lemon cake" and she happily obliged. (We've had A LOT of cake these past few weeks and I am SOOOO glad he chose that cake! I almost forgot about it!)

 

The windows were open and the breeze kept blowing out the candles. He couldn't even stand up he was laughing so hard!

 

As usual we woke up bright and early on his birthday so he could open up his presents before I headed off to work. 

 

Michael and Cai Lynn were sleep half asleep. 

 

And so was Duncan!

 

Ruby thought the clothes pile looked inviting!

 

His day was just beginning! An hour later my mom took him to go and get his new "wrist rocket" and then off to Sushi. (Which is a tradition of OURS but since I had to work and he was going camping that night, my mom took him and we'll go later.) Then off to his camp-out with the boys.
