Snow Day!

Earlier this week, we got a snow storm that was considered to be the bigger of the two.... Turns out more ice came with that one and more snow came with this one!
This is a little tree outside the window at work. I felt so sorry for this little tree, but it is SO beautiful!

The storm arrived right on time, almost to the exact same minute the meteorologists were expecting. This was from the front porch.

From the street

Duncan went outside to do his business and came back in covered in snow. (Hard to see with his white coat.)

This is what we woke up to!

We still had to go down to the church and help decorate for the ward Christmas Party. These were actually taken from my car window as I started to drive away.

After we got home, it was the dogs' turn to play in the snow.

Duncan is making a weird face in this one.

Reno Christmas Tree Lighting

Every year the tree in Reno is lit with the help of the Billinghurst Choir. Michael did it when he was there and this year was Jared's turn.

My mom met me down there with Cai Lynn and Michael and I raced over after work.

Jared's WCSD Honor Choir Concert

Jared was the only one in the Washoe County School District Honor Choir this year. It was his first year doing it. 14 different middle schools all over the county have try outs. The judges go from school to school and audition the kids. This is one of my favorite concerts of the year! (Not to mention all of the middle schools--50+ with 6th grades and the 13 High Schools) Let me tell you, they all put on a great concert!

The students practiced each week together. (6th graders all practiced together one day a week, High Schoolers practiced Tuesday nights and Middle school Tuesday afternoons.) Michael decided not to do it because he'd miss two months of Mutual. (He's done it the past three years.) I understood, but I was SOOOOO sad! They do SUCH an amazing job! (At least Jared did it this year.)

I apologize for Michael's attire.... This is the best I could do since he doesn't wear pants unless it's to church or "family pictures".
