A Beautiful Independance Day!

We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day to celebrate the birth of our Nation! We met my mom at the GSR buffet for lunch. After lunch we headed down to the pool for a relaxing afternoon in the pool.

These two are like two peas in a pod. Jared will do anything for Emily and Emily is well-aware that she has him wrapped around her finger!

After a short time, Michael decided to get of of the pool and go play around in the GSR. He went down to the driving range, fun quest, etc....

Emily came and sat with me after she got tired of swimming.

Tired of swimming just a little time in the sand.

Packing up and ready to go down to the food trucks.

Food Truck Friday!

It's officially summer and the food trucks are coming out of the woodwork! Throughout the week there are several locations where the food trucks gather, but Friday night is our favorite as we head down to a local park full of geese and ducks.

Michael tries to coax a gosling while under his parents watchful eye.

After Michael got the stink-eye from both parents, they quietly brought him back to the safety of the water.

Every time this one would take a bite, he'd get up on his tippy toes.

A beautiful view as we eat our dinner.

Of course the boys found an alternate use for the reeds and started whiping each other with them.

Cai Lynn joined in.

Jared wanted to play a different game. :-/

Happy Birthday Jared!!!!!

I am now the mom of two teenagers! I just can't believe it!

As usual, we began his birthday with the opening of the gifts from me. So bright and early, he opened the gifts he's been asking for, for months!

Then dinner at my mom's for the family party. (Sadly Cai Lynn was out of town so she was unable to join us.) Jared ordered "Enchiladas, salad, fruit, and bread" from my mom and of course she delivered!

He got his blanket!!!!! I have received two of these types from  my mom and Jared wanted a "Bear one" for his birthday. He was SURE he'd get it. So sure that's ALLLLL he talked about that day. LOL

Emily wrote her own card. <3>

Sweet cousins!

It seems the after-party protocol has become a "silly-string" raid!

Attack on Noni!

Jared got Michael, and he clogged his sprayer....

These two got it the worse!

Off to cake.... I mean pie! NEITHER one of my boys like cake! Only pie! What the heck!?
