Holiday Concert

The kids had a Holiday concert today at school this afternoon. The Honor Choir sang and led the classes through many different songs. It was an hour long. It was amazing! The Choir director is just phenomenal! It's amazing what she can teach 600 children! All of the classes got to join in and even class by class songs.

One of my favorite songs....

Honor Choir...

Hello Cai Lynn!

The teachers sang a song and the kids erupted with cheers!

They need their lighters...

The 6th graders' turn...

A side-note... it was also pajama day. :)

Michael first concert!

Now that Michael is in the 6th grade he is learning to play the violin. He began in August and today they had their first recital. It was so much fun! They did such a great job! Three teachers teach three different parts to the orchestra. There is the general instruments, strings and band. Last year Michael chose the violin, and I bought him a little red one.

Honor Choir at Shoppers Square

The boys are in Honor Choir at school as most of you know and this time they were asked to go to "Shoppers Square". They were SO cute and the way it is set up, their voices filled the entire mall. :-)

Afterwards they pose for a picture.

Honor Choir and Jared's third grade program

We left the house less than an hour after returning home after leaving at 6:00am, had dinner with my mom and ran straight up to their performance... meanwhile FORGOT my camera! My mom saved the day when she grabbed it for me. Unfortunately with the nasty weather she missed the Honor Choir part and so did my camera. (Thank goodness we have three more performances this week!!!!!) Anywho... Here are a few....

Getting ready:

These little darlings signed "Mele Kalikimaka" and then the rest joined in.

"A Candle For Peace"

Hard to believe Jared is in the third grade!

Baby it's cold outside!

The weather man calls it the most Reno snow in 15 years, and we believe it. After a break for a few days, it came back for a few more days. When it stopped, there were over six feet on the ground in some places around Reno.
