Ward Christmas Party

Tonight was our ward Christmas party. As always it was a wonderful meal, followed by a great program and of course the guy in red showed up. :-)

"We Three Kings"

The Young Women sang "Silent Night" and then we had a sing-along with several other songs.

What is a party without great friends?

Santa time! (And for the record, he smelled like ham, potatoes and green bean casserole, not beef and cheese.)

Santa's turn is up, now the big kids play Santa...

I think Spencer is cleaning the caramel candy off of his teeth.

You OK Jared?

I just love this season!
Merry Christmas!

Michael's Christmas Concert

'Tis the season!
Year after year our family participates in many, many Christmas music programs. Last night was Michael very first High School concert and BOY was it good! I didn't get as many pictures as I wanted due to the way the church he performed at was set up, and those I DID get, weren't the ccolor I was going for... Oh well....

Michael came over to see us before the performance began, while everyone was getting seated.

Dr. Torkelson conducted the WCSD Honor Choir, (earlier post) and conducted the McQueen students this night. VERY good!

Ryan and Michael

This is the Advanced choir. (The students were standing and singing all around the perimeter of the church in the aisles. VERY good and very moving!

Sweet Dallen. I REALLY wish the music stand wasn't clocking my view of him, but unfortunately it was the angle I had.

Now this Advanced choir leaves and the strings perform, followed by the girls, jazz choir and then the other kids come back on.

Michael comes back in.

Michael is in there somewhere....

The conductors... AMAZING!!!!!

Everyone deserves a good back rub.

Great friends!

Activity Days

This last Sunday I was called to be Assistant Activity Days leader. I also had a work party (at work) that was running perilously close to the time we were going to be leaving with the girls to go caroling. Via text I was talking to my mom so she could take Cai Lynn and I would meet them there. I raced out of the party the second I could., and raced over to the house where the girls were preparing to head out for caroling. I literally drove up as the cars were pulling out of the driveway... JUST IN TIME! I jumped into the car Cai Lynn was in, and we headed out.

The girls were so cute with their bells, hats and we even had a couple of violinists. They had rehearsed the weeks prior and were ready to go.

I snapped a picture at the last house we were singing at. They were so cute!

Back to the house to finish up the Graham crackers mangers.

Silly girls

Followed by the wrapping of the candles they had made for their mom's last week.

Then a few of the girls played the piano for us.

And last a story

What a great beginning to my calling! I am so excited to be a part o this group!
