Easter Night

It was the first time we've hosted dinner in our new home. We had ham etc. And of course we had to watch "The Wizard of Oz".

Then off to see what the kids got in their Easter baskets from "Noni" and "Papa".

Emily got new lip gloss. I will also add that it was her FIRST lip gloss.
HMMM Good idea or bad idea?

Back to watch "The Wizard".

Easter Morning

I just love Easter. Of course if you know me well, you'll know that Christmas by far is my favorite holiday EVER, but Easter comes in a close second. I love the new beginnings, I love that even though the weather is still often unfavorable, that the sun will shine again soon. I love that we are celebrating Christ's rise from the tomb and his wonderful sacrifice for us. I love that the promise of resurrection is for all of us and that after this life even though it may be hard from time to time, we will live again.

Easter morning we gt up and it was time to find what was left in the baskets...

"Even the Easter Bunny knows I like Justin Beiber!"

After we got into our Easter clothes we headed off to my work where the kids got to find some more eggs. The weather outside was still frightful,so we took some pictures and looked for eggs inside instead.

He's growing up to be such a handsome young man!

Where has my little Jared gone? He's getting to be so big!

I feel like Cai Lynn is looking more grown up every day!

My three great kids! I am so proud of them!

Now, off to church... After church I will be hosting dinner.

Our New Home

3 weeks ago we moved into our new home. My parents bought the house across the street and we are now renting their "old home". I love that we know this house inside and out due to the fact that for the past five years we make at the very least weekly trips for dinner here.

We did have to move wards, (although in the same church building,) but other than that the kids are all in the same schools and we already knew several of the surrounding neighbors. Another big plus is to have "Noni" (My mom) across the street. A couple of nights ago while I was at book club, after girl scouts, boy scouts and young men's, the kids ran across the street to color eggs and then ran home to get ready for bed.:-)

So I have been asked by several people to take pictures, etc, so tonight after the kids went to bed, I ran around taking pictures. So... here you go.

This is the "great room" and kitchen area

My "black and white" hallway. These pictures are of their first steps, coming home from the hospital, first birthday, etc etc etc.

And there is the cat right there next to her. LOL

The boys' room

There will be a guest room but for now my mom hasn't quite retrieved all of her stuff out of there. Those pictures will soon follow.

I haven't done anything with the front yard or back yard yet. So all of those pictures are buried somewhere in this blog with all of the soccer, etc we like to play in the front yard after dinner when here in the past.
