October Overture

Once a year Michael's school does a concert called "October Overture". It usually consists of Jared and Cai Lynn's school, His school and the High School. This year the High school was unable to make it, but it was still VERY good! (Later in the school year the high school will have their own invitational concert.)

This is the first time all three of them have attended.... Cai Lynn is officially old enough and she made the choir!

First the Elementary school goes...

Then it's their turn... Michael's part

I just love this picture! Everyone has their own interesting expression. Michael has probably looked at it a dozen times and laughed so hard it was like his first time.

Great job guys!!!!!

Bryan's "Birthday"

On a more solemn note, Bryan would have been 29 years old on Sunday. This particular morning I was filling in for my boss at work, so I stopped by with some flowers before I went to work. When I got off and when my mom and the kids returned from church we met back and spent a few moments there.

Bryan, we miss you every day!

The Marina and the Dog Park

I'm usually off on Mondays, so I decided that while the weather was still nice, I'd take the dogs down to the Marina. They loved it, and so did I. The weather was PERFECT! Not too hot and not too cold. 1/2 way around from where we parked was the dog park so we stopped in to see if Duncan would play in the water. (We have been completely unsuccessful before.)

Checking out the other dogs in the water.

Meeting new friends

This was COMPLETELY by accident! He chased the other dogs into the water and then realized where he was. We were there for another 1/2 hr and he wouldn't go back in.

Nothing doing!

See! He puts his breaks on JUST as he gets near the water.

I knew SHE wouldn't attempt it...

Down on the beach with the geese

He just turned 6 months old a few days ago... What a good boy! Ruby is teaching him well! :-)

The Elementary School Halloween Party

So one more year down for us! Vickie and I have been co-chairing this event for 4 years now. (We've been assisting other years, but actually in charge for 4 yrs now.) We have it pretty much down to a science now but it is always an amazing event!!!!! This year we combined it with the Science Fair as well. Each grade was in charge of a "Mad Science" game. SOOOOOOO fun!

Yep, This would be Michael. LOL (That's Cai Lynn's teacher in the background.)

My little Panda Bear Cai Lynn, complete with her meal ticket and one of her first prizes.

The cake walk...Jared's on the right....
