Muffins for Mentors

As the last "Hoorrah", the school put on a "Muffins for Mentors". This is a chance to meet the kids' teachers for next year. The honor choir sang for the last time this year, and muffins, doughnuts and juice were provided.

Michael's Present

O.K. I know it's now July, but I'm unfortunately just getting around to posting Michael's birthday and we've already celebrated Jared's... Oops!

For Michael's birthday this year, he had no idea WHAT he wanted. So I surprised him with a prickly little friend. He was elated! His name is "Hatari" which means "Danger" in Swahili. He is such a sweet little thing.

My mom holding him.

"Hadhi" (Warrior) and "Hatari" (Danger)

He is so tiny and sweet here...

A month and a half later he is much bolder and grouchier. :-) (Not as grouchy as his counterpart though.) Michael's friends love to come over and hold him. He loves to run on his little wheel and is SUCH a climber! We absolutely love him. He is a great little addition to our family.

Galena Creek Field Trip

I am so lucky to be able to have the kids be able to come with me to school during the summer. We go on a bunch of great field trips and have a lot of fun! On of the first field trips was a hike to Galena Creek. Michael was at scout camp so he wasn't there. Fun Fun Fun!!!!

The Reno Rodeo

After going to the Reno Rodeo with my school during the day, I was able to take the kids back that night for a little fun. We had actually never been in the evening before after going on field trips there for several years. We had a lot of fun. I took a ton of pictures, but here are just a few.

Greeting the horses before hand.
