Down to the Tidepools

So on our last day we had decided to play at the beach and wharf the entire day. Of course it was still drizzling, but we were at the water anyway. 

There were jellyfish EVERYWHERE! But thank goodness the tentacles were inside so they kept getting picked up.

 Snails and little hermit crabs were all over too

 I was pretty far out. By the time I came back in, the tide had also decided to come back in. Thanks to Donald, I didn't have to go swimming. LOL

So.....here comes my favorite. We tried to get some cute family pictures with the amazing back-drop of the ocean behind us. We got ready and Heather started snapping away.

 And...... Of course the tide rolled in!

Monterey Day 2

We decided to get behind the scenes tickets to feed the fish this day. It was actually better than I thought! There were only 10 of us and 1/2 of that was just our group. (Heather and Xara sat most of it out but were able to join us at the end.) We were given headsets, etc and we were told all about what goes on behind the scenes.

We ran downstairs to watch them eat what we just threw in.

This exhibit is new. It's called, "The Jellyfish Experience" There are SO many different types. I took about a gazillion pictures, here are a few.

Monterey Day One

Heather and I spoke quite a bit before our trip planning where to stay and which days to go to the Aquarium, etc. We didn't want to rush through so we decided to go two days to the Aquarium and boy was it worth it!

With ear buds in and DVD players started, we were on our way!
