The Scottish Games

Once again we had the amazing opportunity to go to the Scottish Games. It was a bit bittersweet this year. I took over 300 pictures, but here are a few.

My Awesome Uncle Mark with a few other members of the Dunsmuir group.

The end of the day, the Mass bands.

I am wearing the "Jones" Tartan (Welsh) which is my Grandmother's. And Cai Lynn is wearing my Grandfather's Tartan (Scottish) which is the Davidson. (a derivitive of the Burt.)

The Lead Pipe Master

Auntie Crystel and Uncle Ed. (The youngest and the oldest of the 6 Burt children.)

Cai Lynn and Melinda

Susan and Ed

Just us...

Scottish Highland cow

One of Mark's dances...

One of the birds from the "Birds of Prey" exibut. (I took over 20 pictures here. LOL)

While the games were wonderful as usual, and we enjoyed the most amazing bagpipers, and other music it just wasn't the same. My Grandmother looks forward to them every year and this year she has taken a turn for the worse. My amazing Auntie Crystel and Uncle Ed went to get her 1/2 way through the day on Saturday. She sat quietly in her wheelchair with me for hours listening to her favorite part, the bagpipes. I will write more on this at a later time...
