Twas the night before Christmas when all through the house,
All the creatures were stirring, even the mouse.
The stockings were hung on the wall with care,
In hopes that St. Nicolas soon would be there.
The children weren't nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of Drummer Boys danced in their heads.
The cookies were plated for Santa to eat,
And three little children wanted their own little treat.
One tired Mommy and three tired kids,
Hopped into bed and rested their lids.
When what to our wondering eyes should appear,
Plenty of presents and lots of good cheer!
Opening stockings and presents gallore,
Plenty to play with, and never a bore!
Off to bake bread, and make yummy treats,
By the end of the day, Mommy was beat!
Packing and loading took a lot of the day,
Waiting for snow to be melted away.
We were finally ready to go visit the fam,
We ate plenty of turkey, but not any ham.
"Noni" was cooking and wrapping most of the day,
"Where is she now?" They started to say.
Behind the camera hiding away,
It's getting close to the end of the day!
Mommy's and children and getting so tired,
Hours ago they were so very wired!
Crossed eyes, long drives, our night ends here.
Don't worry, we will do it again, at the end of next year.
